Oh goodness, that background. I need halp.
This is like... the second background I have ever tried to do.
Have actually put effort into.

I do think it looks good.. but I think it could look a lot better.
So, anyone out there who does decent backgrounds, please critique this!
And if you have any, link me to any tutorials on backgrounds/scenery etc.

Anyways, this was a commish for ~Zanziabar!
I hope you like it, as I had lots of fun with it~

But for now, I think I'll put complex backgrounds on hold. I'll finish up the one complex I have to do, but will not be taking any more afterwards.
At least, not until I am more comfortable. So in other words, expect a lot of speedpainty/scenery stuff from me in the near future. I need practice. XD

What stood out to me and really caught my eye was the dragon's glowing blue ice flames. Upon closer examination of your picture, I noticed the colors and patterns on the dragon's wings and how they look like space. It reminds me of where the sky and sea meet (kind of like Farphyni's Gawynderethea [link]). Is he/she a dragon of the sea and sky?

Actually, it's *Zanziabars species/character. I do believe he is a dragon who flies through space. You'd have to ask her! c:

By the way, I think the background looks fine. It seems a little out of focus, but that just helps draw attention to the dragon. Anyway, it looks pretty good for being only your second background!

OH GAWD THIS IS AWESOME! i love your dragon style, like you dont even know how much, i want more commissions! I loooove his wings, GAH SO SPACY AND AWESOME and beautiful! oh and the background, i never imagined him being in a cold winter land, but now that i see it, ITS AWESOME! it gives me a feel of death and evil, a desolent land, to match. gah thank you so much i looove this so much!
